I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday weekend. Last night we got together with our neighbors for a cookout. My mom and dad were here visiting so they got to enjoy all of the festivities with us. Everyone brought their own meat to grill, drinks, lawnchairs and fireworks and then a few side dishes to share. We were outside until almost midnight shooting off fireworks and visiting. It was a very enjoyable night. Several new families have moved in recently on our block so it was fun to meet all of them.

Can you tell from Jeff's smile that something is up in this picture??? He's giving Grant a drink of his margarita. Luckily, Grant didn't like the way it tasted.
Here's Jeff "the pyro" as he was nicknamed Friday night. That is when we actually began shooting off fireworks. For some reason he thought it would be a good idea to put a bunch of Black Cats in a trashcan. It made such a loud noise that he kept putting more and more into the trashcan and eventually it caught on fire in the middle of the street and melted into a pile of green goo!!! It didn't help that all of the "men" were rooting him on.
We had the perfect place to light fireworks behind our house last night. We even did a few on the golf cart path. Shhh!!!
Jeff and Aaron seemed to be the ringleaders. They were definetely the biggest kids out there!!!
